when i turned 18, i used some graduation money to buy a tascam porta02 4-track and a 57 knockoff. that hissy, spitty cassette palette was my introduction to recording.

i carried that deck with me to all my band practices, and this demo happened after fragile practice at my late, great friend erin casey's house. you can hear her and her sister laughing and screaming upstairs while i pounded this out.

much of what would have been the second fragile EP went onto that 4-track machine, but unfortunately the band never made it that far. my teenage temper was just too much, sometimes. you can hear the first EP we recorded at mark rubel's old pogo studio the year before here:
